Waqrapukara

The name comes from Quechua and translates to ‘The Horned Fortress’. It’s located by the river Apu Rimac, which means ’spirits talk’ or ‘to talk with spirits’. This powerful pre Inca temple of huge importance was used as an astronomical observatory and ritual site. From our field research we can confirm that this place allows multidimensional communication with the Apus – The mountain spirits. In the mesmerizing mountains resembling ancient temples you can see the faces of the ancestors and the Soul Fortress tomb ‘Aya Pukara’ to this day holds their skeletons possible to see in a respectful way.

The place is possible to visit as a 1 day trek but we strongly suggest staying overnight and using the Wachuma cactus to open the communication between dimensions.
